Field Trip to BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells!

The NJTP staff invites you to join our first annual group field trip to watch the BNP Paribas Open Tournament.  This awesome pro men’s and women’s tournament is often called the “Fifth Grand Slam,” because most of the top players play in the tournament every year.

The NJTP staff will be going on Sunday, March 12th (the middle weekend) to watch the 3rd-round matches of men’s and women’s singles and doubles.  We will be purchasing tickets as a group for any families who are interested in going with us.  We are hoping to receive a discount if we can get enough people to go.

Please keep in mind these are not free tickets!  The entry-level tickets start at $60.00 for the day pass, which gives you “loge” seating in the main stadium, plus access to all the surrounding stadiums.

Please let us know by the end of February 13th if you wish to attend.

The BNP Paribas Open is held at Indian Wells Tennis Garden near Palm Springs, this year between March 6th and March 19th.  This is a once-a-year opportunity West Coast tennis fans have to watch top tennis professionals battle it out right before your very eyes!

Players that are scheduled to appear on the men’s side include Stan “The Man” Wawrinka (#4), Roger Federer (#17), Novak Djokovic (#2), Rafael Nadal (#9), Andy Murray (#1), Kei Nishikori (#5), Gael Monfils (#6).

On the women’s side, players scheduled include Angelique Kerber (#1), Venus Williams (#17), Serena Williams (#2) and Madison Keys (#8).

Remember, no one knows exactly when Roger Federer is going to retire… this could be your last opportunity to see him play!
