The Neighborhood Junior Tennis Program is a community tennis program for kids and adults, based at El Cariso Park in Sylmar.
We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, and our goal is to improve the community through tennis by increasing overall health, reducing gang involvement, and instilling core values such as discipline, dedication, and desire to excel.

- 2026 Sessions – Registration is open for 5 Week Sessions for::
- April 20 – May 22
- June 1 -July 8
- Future Sessions
- July 18 – August 21
- August 31 -October 5
- October 13 -November 18
- November 30 – December 18 ( Holiday 4-week session)
- You can sign up now using the link above!
- CSUN will host Yellow Ball 1 classes on M/W/F @ 5:30 – 7 pm or TTh from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
- CSUN will host Yellow Ball 2 from 7-9:00 pm or TTH from 7 – 9 pm.
- Most classes are held at El Cariso Park: Red Ball, Orange Ball, Green Dot, and Yellow Ball 1 and Yellow Ball 3 (High Performance).

After many meetings, time and fine-tuning requirements to be a Park CORE Partner and understanding NJTP’s mission as a youth non-profit, providing year-round affordable, high quality tennis programming for the northeast San Fernando Valley kids, the County Parks Department and County Supervisor approved our CORE Partner application. This saves our families and friends considerable costs for those who want to learn recreational and competitive tennis at EL Cariso Park.
