The Neighborhood Junior Tennis Program is a community tennis program for kids and adults, based at El Cariso Park in Sylmar and Pioneer Park in San Fernando.
We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, and our goal is to improve the community through tennis by reducing childhood obesity, reducing gang involvement, and instilling core values of hard work and dedication.
Update – January 10, 2021 – Classes Suspended
NJTP’s classes are currently suspended due to the pandemic. We are in discussions with LA County Parks and Recreation, to determine when we will be able to reopen and under what terms.
The safety of our students, families and coaches is our top priority, so we will not reopen until conditions get better and there is a high degree of comfort and safety in starting our group classes again.
Although our classes are not being held, the courts are still open and available for singles play and same-family doubles play. We encourage you to go out and play tennis with a friend or with family members! But please do it safely and within County guidelines.
Also allowed are Private or Semi-Private lessons (1 or 2 students with a coach). If you are interested, please send us an email at info@njtptennis.net, and we will get back to you (if you have a preferred coach, please let us know that too).
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you back, hopefully later this year!
